SNACK Defense Soda Tower: How to Get the Limited Soda and What It Does

The SNACK Defense Soda Tower is the in-game Soda, an Epic limited gem-shop snack with lingering poison and a 25% range aura. How to buy it for 25,000 gems, its reported stats, and how the 5,000-unit stock gate decides availability.

The "Soda Tower" players talk about is the in-game Soda — an Epic limited snack that appears in the shop as "Limited soda". It comes from one place: a gem-shop purchase for 25,000 gems (launch-time update coverage also listed a 499 Robux option), and you cannot roll it from summons. Only 5,000 were made, and once the counter in the limited shop hits zero, the purchase option closes — so the live in-game counter, not any guide, is what tells you whether it's still purchasable today.

What the Soda Tower is

"Soda Tower" is community naming. In the game, the shop entry reads "Limited soda" and the unit itself is named "Soda". Its in-game description spells out the whole kit:

Soda. Poison keeps damaging enemies after they leave. Only the strongest aura of each type applies. Other supports can boost it, but not with range.

Mechanically it is a hybrid. As a damage unit, it is a short-range poison attacker whose damage-over-time keeps ticking after enemies walk out of its small attack area. As a support, it grants surrounding snacks up to 25% more range — a 1.25x range aura that works on nearly every unit. That aura is why tier coverage treats the Soda primarily as a buffer and calls it a meta Epic, while written guides frame it as a poison dealer that also buffs range. The mechanics aren't in dispute; only the lead role is. Both agree on the catch: it is far harder to get than most other Epics, because it isn't among the summons' random results at all.

The Soda launched in the gem shop alongside the other limited snack, the Banana Split.

How to get the Soda

Recorded purchase footage shows the full route:

  1. Grind 25,000 gems. Endless Mode pays per run — one recorded deep run paid out 2,000 gems, and the recorded player reached 25,000 by grinding Endless. If you want extra gem income, see how to get gems fast.
  2. Open the limited-time shop and find "Limited soda", the Epic snack priced at 25,000 gems. Launch-time update coverage also listed a 499 Robux option.
  3. Buy it. The game confirms with "You got a limited soda", then equip it from your inventory.
  4. Place it in a match for 1,000 cash. That is a heavy early-game spend, so build some economy before deploying it.

Don't try to summon one. The 5-summon pull (2,500 gems) yields random towers like Fry, Mustard, or Melon and cannot guarantee a poison unit, so guides recommend saving the full 25,000 for the shop purchase instead. If you're new, that same advice gives you an order: the Soda first, because it costs less than a third of the Banana Split's 90,000 gems and makes the whole team stronger; the Banana Split is the later, rarer flex.

Reported Soda stats

These numbers are reported by one written guide and one recorded test video — not official patch notes — so treat them as values that balance updates can move:

StageReported statsNotes
Base placement1,000 cash to place, ~10 rangeVery expensive to deploy early
Mid upgrade~49,700 damage over 4 seconds, 18 rangePoison ticks ramp up sharply
Max upgrade179,000 damage over 4 seconds, speed 56Test footage shows a maxed Soda deleting a boss instantly

Range stays the weak spot throughout: roughly 10 at base and about 18 fully upgraded — small even compared with Hot Sauce — and the recorded test notes the attack area itself is tiny.

One headline number isn't settled. A launch update article lists the Soda Snack at 18,000 max DPS with a poison aura that hits nearby enemies, while the dedicated Soda guide and the recorded max-level test report 179,000 damage over 4 seconds at max upgrade, which the tester converts to roughly 44,000 per second. Those figures come from different sources and have not been reconciled, so treat both as reported rather than adopting either as the true max.

Using the Soda in Endless Mode

In one recorded Endless test on the Enchanted Forest map, the player paired the freshly bought Soda with Honey Bears (40% slow) at the entrance: slow enemies so they crawl through the Soda's tiny poison area, then let the lingering damage drain them. Upgrades in that run stepped the poison up from ~18.1k to 49.7k and finally 179,000 damage over 4 seconds, a maxed Soda deleted a boss instantly, and a Honey Bear + Soda + Ramen setup cleared past wave 170. That is a single recorded session, not a promised result — but it shows the pattern: pair the Soda with a slow and place it where crowds linger.

Placement follows from the aura rules. Only the strongest aura of each type applies, so a second Soda adds no extra buff — spread additional Sodas across different path sections instead of clustering them. Put your first Soda centrally so its 25% range aura reaches as many towers as possible; long-range carries like Hot Sauce gain the most. And while other supports can boost the Soda, they cannot boost it with range, so its reach grows only through upgrades.

The full mode rules — waves, economy, and mode specifics — belong to the Endless Mode guide.

Is the Soda still in stock?

Availability is stock-gated, not date-gated. The Soda launched as a limited run of 5,000 units, and when the limited shop's counter reaches zero, the buy option closes. In Update 3 footage the run was still alive: the recorded player was still planning to buy more Sodas and grinding gems for them, while Banana Split stock had already fallen to roughly 200 — a sign of how fast these counters drain.

So don't wait for a deadline announcement: check the counter in the in-game limited shop, and if Sodas remain, decide early whether to spend the 25,000 gems or the reported 499 Robux. Limited snacks like this tend to disappear.
