SNACK Defense Index Rewards: Completion Tracking and Claim Checklist

Track your SNACK Defense collection Index, see how milestone and completion rewards unlock as you collect unique Snacks, and claim every Index reward waiting for you.

SNACK Defense's Index pays for collecting, not for fighting. Every unique Snack you own adds one entry to the collection Index, and each milestone your counter crosses leaves a reward ready to claim — the player who recorded the reward system's launch footage claimed theirs at four out of five entries and picked up 500 gems. A larger payout waits at the end, too: completing the whole collection also grants rewards.

The routine that gets you everything currently owed to you is short: pull new Snacks from the Gumball Machine, keep every new unit, open the Index after collecting, and claim anything waiting before you log off.

How the SNACK Defense collection Index works

The Index is the game's collection-based progression track. Instead of measuring combat performance, it logs every Snack unit you collect and grants rewards at collection milestones; the menu itself frames the goal as collecting every unit in the game.

Three rules decide what adds an entry:

  • Each newly collected Snack adds one entry.
  • The unit's combat role does not matter — a Snack you never field still counts.
  • Duplicate pulls do not fill a missing entry.

The third rule is the one that costs players progress. Duplicates still matter for upgrades and trait systems, but they never advance the Index the way a brand-new Snack does. And ownership is what counts, not usefulness: a weak Snack sitting in storage still registers, so never discard a new unit just because it doesn't fit your current lineup. While your Index is far from complete, aim your pulls at units you don't own yet and let duplicates cover upgrades and traits.

How Index progress is tracked

Progress is a counter of unique Snacks owned, displayed in the Index menu. Players recorded around the system's updates read counters like four out of five and, later, 30 out of 35 — and the second player could see exactly what was left to hunt: a couple more rares, some epics and legendaries, and a bunch of mythics.

Two things to expect from that counter:

  • It moves when you unlock something new, mainly through the Gumball Machine, the game's primary source for new and especially rarer Snacks.
  • It grows over time. Update 2 introduced the whole system — Titles, Index Rewards and a batch of new Snacks to collect — and later patches have kept expanding the pool. A "complete" collection can gain new targets after any update, so treat whatever total you see today as a snapshot and re-check the Index after every patch.

How Index rewards unlock

Index Rewards are granted at collection milestones: as your entry count grows, you cross thresholds and each one unlocks a reward. Milestones are tied purely to how developed your collection is, so the track moves at whatever pace your pulls produce new Snacks. Reaching the end — collecting every unit in the game — grants rewards as well. The track is permanent: Update 2 introduced and expanded it, and it has carried forward through later updates.

One payout has been seen end to end: the launch-footage player claimed their Index rewards at four-out-of-five progress and received 500 gems. Treat that as proof the track pays real gems when you claim — not as a fixed amount you can expect at every milestone.

Don't confuse the track with Titles, which arrived in the same update. Titles are separate milestone-based goals built on your collection and game progress; they give long-term objectives rather than the payouts tied to your entry counter. Our Titles guide covers them on their own.

The Index rewards claim checklist

Claiming is a step you take yourself. The launch footage shows the reward track sitting with the Index in the lobby area, and the recorded player only received the gems after going to claim their index rewards — unclaimed milestones just sit there. Since milestone rewards are easy to overlook, run this pass every session:

  • Claim every Index milestone reward currently available.
  • Identify the Snacks still missing from your Index.
  • Set aside resources for Gumball Machine pulls.
  • Review Title requirements and progress.
  • Re-check the Index after every game update.

Gem income for those pulls comes from more than stages: daily and weekly tasks pay gems, the Index itself rewards completion progress, and the occasional code adds more — the dedicated codes page keeps the live list. If you need a faster refill, see how to get gems fast.

Testing counts toward the same goal: every new Snack you try out and keep expands the collection toward the next milestone. The classic mistake is the opposite habit — pouring everything into duplicates of one strong Snack. Duplicate-focused investing delays Index progress and leaves milestone rewards unclaimed while your collection stays small.

Filling the missing entries

Once your counter shows the gaps, the unit roster is the quickest way to check what a missing Snack does before you chase it, and the acquisition guide covers every way to obtain one. Prioritize pulls that can produce units you don't own; the recorded player hunting their last entries was saving gems and calling out specific targets by name — apple, in that session — because each new unit is the only thing that moves the counter.
